This page explains how users of the Nation Security app, published by Nation Security, can request deletion of their account and the personal data associated with it. We are committed to giving you control over your information.
How to Request Account and Data Deletion
To request deletion of your Nation Security account and associated data, follow these steps:
- Send an email to info@nationsecurity.com from the email address associated with your Nation Security account.
- Use the subject line “Account Deletion Request.”
- In the message, include your full name and the email address or username registered with your account so we can verify your identity.
- Our team will verify your request and process the deletion. We will confirm by email once your account and associated data have been deleted.
If your Nation Security account was created or is managed by a property, community, or organization (your administrator), some records may be controlled by that organization. In those cases we will coordinate with the relevant administrator to action your request in accordance with applicable law.
What Data Is Deleted
When your deletion request is processed, we delete the personal data associated with your account, including:
- Account profile information, such as your name, email address, phone number, and role.
- Login credentials and authentication data.
- Personal records you created or that identify you, such as visitor details, contact information, vehicle information, and related notes, subject to the retention exceptions below.
What Data May Be Kept
We may retain certain information after an account is deleted where it is required for legitimate purposes, including:
- Records we are required to keep to comply with legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory obligations.
- Information needed to resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, or maintain the safety and security of managed properties.
- Aggregated or anonymized data that no longer identifies you.
- Records that belong to and are controlled by the property or organization that administers the service, where retention is determined by that organization.
Data Retention Period
We process verified account deletion requests within 30 days of receipt. Data retained for legal, security, or other legitimate purposes described above is kept only for as long as necessary to fulfill those purposes, after which it is securely deleted or anonymized.
